Aluminium railings
Aluminium railings are the latest trend in the construction of buildings and they are becoming predominant over the traditional railings (made of metal, concrete, wood, etc.) with their affordable price. Such position and treatment of the aluminium railings on the market are caused by the following advantages they provide:
Glass railings
Glass railings are an almost indispensable element of today’s buildings. They were first applied in exterior spaces, but are now often used in interior spaces as well. Such external glass surfaces are mainly constructed in combination with stainless steel posts and handrails which are the load bearing structure of the railing. Independent glass railings fixed in the floor steel structure or fastened by spiders are becoming increasingly present, for the sake of its visual effect of the space "purity ".
It is worth mentioning that the glass railings must fulfill certain safety criteria, depending on their position and function on the building. Laminated glass, i.e. two glasses glued together with a foil in the middle, provide minimum safety. When the glass is damages, it will remain fastened to the foil, i.e. it will not fall apart upon impact and create injuries. There is an increasing need for the laminated glass to also be hardened (e.g. for the sake of holes necessary for spider joints). Minimum glass thickness must be 8 mm or more, depending on the railing dimensions and type. In this way, we have top quality along with immense safety at an affordable price.
